About the event
What
Participants will not only be going home with their own fabulous LINED* lampshade, but will get a thorough grounding into the craft of modern lampshade making (where the fabric is bonded to a stiff lining).
There is no sewing involved in this method - and the materials used are professional shademaking supplies as used in the industry.
This workshop follows the INTRODUCTION to LAMPSHADE MAKING workshop in the morning of same day. You don't need to have done the Introduction workshop to qualify for this one, but if you can manage both, it's highly recommended.
* Lined shades have fabric on both the outside and inside of the shade. The effect when lit is different to other shades, because the light does not shine through the walls of the shade, but is cast outwards - up and down from the top and bottom of the shade. What you choose…
