About the event
What
Participants will not only be going home with their own fabulous bespoke lampshade, but will get a thorough grounding into the craft of modern lampshade making (where the fabric is bonded to a stiff lining).
There is no sewing or glueing involved in this method - and the materials used are professional shademaking supplies as used in the industry.
Your tutor is professional lampshade maker Kate Malfroy, who runs workshops from her south coast studio, and other locations around NSW.
You can choose to make either a drum shape or tapered (Empire) shape shade - options are shown at checkout.
In this beginner-level workshop there is a min 6/max 10 students so you are guaranteed personal attention.
Difficulty

Kate will guide you step by step through the shade-making process, sharing numerous tricks and tips of the trade whilst doing her best to make this experience as enjoyable as possible!
